Angels Make Love, a song by Andy Allo

The singer-songwriter & actress Andy Allo (Black Lightening) has been spreading her wings for a few years now, most famously as a one-time member of Prince’s New Power Generation. (The legendary musician famously said that she would be “leading her own revolution soon.”) Now, Andy has a new soul single called “Angels Make Love”, which features a gorgeous video directed by Sean Frank and executive produced by none other than Lena Waithe, the first African-American woman to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series in 2017 & her work on Master of None. According to Andy, the video is a “beautiful expression of falling in love with someone of the same sex”. And its sentiment, its beauty and its open-heartedness – all apparent in the expressive dancing of Khadija Shari – are undeniable.
