Boys Don’t Cry (1999) queer film

Boys Don’t Cry is a biographical drama created by Kimberly Peirce and Andy Bienen. Here is a synopsis I found on Qmdb: “The story is based on actual events. Brandon Teena is the popular new guy in town, hanging out with the guys, drinking, cussing, and bumper surfing. He charms the young women, who’ve never met a more sensitive and considerate young man. Now that Brandon is one of the guys and dating the beautiful Lana life has never been better. But he has one secret, and when his best friends find out Brandon’s life is ripped apart.” Brandon and Lana are portrayed by Hilary Swank and Chloë Sevigny.
