Highlights on Tits on a Bull, a short film by Tim Worrall

Tits on a Bull is a 15 minutes drama written and directed by Tim Worrall. Set in a Maori women’s rugby team, its story explores the character of Phoenix, the young star player, as she struggles to choose between her longtime friendship with aging coach Rusty and her romance with lesbian team-captain Mel. Acting like a father to Phoenix, Rusty is sad to see his champion becomes independent, slowly moves away from him and exposes her family to bursting. His pain gradually deteriorate his relation with Mel but his genuine esteem for phoenix will make him inclined to accept all her choices and remain understanding whatever happens. The film has won two prizes at the Screen Writers Awards of New Zealand and the Wairoa Maori Film festival. Phoenix and Mel are portrayed by Ngawaea Taia and  Maria Walker.
