Roads to Delphi n°1, Isadora Duncan (French podcast)

Angela Isadora Duncan was an American dancer who performed to great acclaim throughout Europe. Born and raised in California, she lived and danced in Western Europe and the Soviet Union from the age of 22 until her death at age 50 in Nice, France. In both professional and private life, Duncan flouted traditional mores and morality. She was openly bisexual and inspired Eva Palmer Sikelianos. Breaking with convention, Duncan imagined she had traced dance to its roots as a sacred art. She developed from this notion a style of free and natural movements inspired by the classical Greek arts, folk dances, social dances and natural forces. This French documentary was thought by Céline du Chéné and directed by Laurent Paulré.
